He discusses why dealing with an individual, rather than a PE firm or family office, can be beneficial to the acquired company. Without third parties involved, he says the decision-making process is quicker, as there are no restrictions on the period for which assets are held.
He adds that the fact it’s the individual’s own money being spent gives everyone involved a greater sense of assurance. And that good chemistry and transparency between the parties involved in an M&A deal is essential to its success, from the initial meeting right through to final integration.
